Founder & Director
A Journey Rooted in Storytelling
MB Stevens, founder of IC63 Films, began their career with a singular conviction: that storytelling could be a powerful force for dismantling oppressive systems and building a more equitable world. Growing up in communities directly impacted by systemic racism and economic inequality, they witnessed firsthand how dominant narratives often erase or distort the experience of marginalized people. This personal experience became the foundation for a creative practice centered on authenticity, empathy, and resistance. After studying film and animation, they spent years working with grassroots organizations, learning from activists and community leaders about the strategies and stories that drive real change.
